Robert Doisneau and Rémy Martin : A look at Cognac
Rémy Martin unveils a previously unseen photo series by Robert Doisneau, shot in Cognac, to mark the bicentenary of photography.
About 1 hour Exhibition From September 19th 2026 to September 19th 2027To mark the bicentenary of photography and the opening of the European Heritage Days, Maison Rémy Martin invites you to discover, from 19 September 2026 and for a duration of one year, the exceptional exhibition ‘Robert Doisneau and Rémy Martin: A Look at Cognac’. Located opposite our historic House in the heart of Cognac, this exhibition unveils to the public for the very first time 65 exclusive prints from a reportage produced in 1961 by the famous photographer, commissioned at the time by our visionary leader André Renaud and preciously preserved in our archives. Far from the Parisian streets that made him famous, Robert Doisneau casts his humanist and deeply poetic gaze on the Charente landscapes, sensitively capturing the faces, age-old gestures and daily lives of the women and men who shape the soul of our terroir and pass on, from generation to generation, the exceptional savoir-faire of Grande and Petite Champagne.
