To mark the bicentenary of photography
The House of Rémy Martin unveils an exceptional exhibition dedicated to a previously unseen photographic series created by Robert Doisneau in Cognac in 1961.
Meticulously preserved within the House’s archives for over sixty years, these 65 photographs offer a poetic, tender, and deeply human perspective on the world of cognac.

In 1961, commissioned by André Renaud, Robert Doisneau turned his humanist lens toward the House of Rémy Martin. Sixty-five years later, we are unveiling this exceptional photographic work for the very first time.
Far from the Parisian streets, discover an intimate view of the Charente region through photographs that celebrate the gestures, the faces, and the passing down of our savoir-faire.
65 exclusive and previously unseen prints are now presented to the public.
« Sixty-five years after they were taken, these photographs have lost none of their power. With Robert Doisneau’s distinctive sensitivity, they capture the unique expertise that lies behind the excellence of our cognac and embody the French art de vivre.
As we celebrate the bicentenary of photography, this exhibition offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase our terroir and the people who shape it, while raising the profile of cognac in France and around the world »
Amaury Vinclet, General Manager of Rémy Martin.
